Ms. Barbara Louise Harris

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Barbara Louise Harris, who passed away on August 17, 2025, in Apple Valley, CA, at the age of 87 after a courageous fight with pneumonia. Barbara was a proud graduate of Pasadena High School, class of 1954, and spent most of her life in California, with several years in Colorado. Preceding her in death were her adoring parents, Donald and Nola Winegar of Pasadena, CA, and her loving ex-husband, Dewey F. Harris, whom she married in 1957. Together, they became proud parents of three children.

Barbara had a gift and passion for collecting antiques. She loved the beauty of flowers and nature, often watching live feeds of eagles in their nests (specifically the eagle’s nest in Big Bear Valley), birds of all kinds, and even bears hunting salmon in Alaska. She was fascinated by God’s beauty in the world, and the family takes comfort knowing she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and is finally Home, although she will be greatly missed.

Barbara loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Daryl (Michelle) Harris, Carl (Jennefer) Harris, and Janice Gibbs. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dustin, Karly, and preceded in death, Samuel Harris, along with Emily (Michael) Rizzi and Jonathan (Tina) Harris, including Joshua & Tristan Gibbs, and great-grandchildren, Rhea Harris, Eleanor & Bennett Rizzi and an additional one on the way. Barbara also cherished many cousins, extended family, and friends.

Her spirit will live on in our hearts of all who knew her, and we rejoice in the knowledge that she is healed and at peace in Heaven with Jesus.
