Barbara Aline Venable passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024 at the age of 91. Born on July 17, 1933, in Pineville, North Carolina to Thomas Reuben Porter and Jessie Mae Shaw, Barbara was known as a very outgoing person who would befriend anyone. Her early working career was spent at Collins Radio and later as an office manager. Later she become a waitress at Jack’s Restaurant before retiring to Apple Valley, California. She touched the lives of so many people along the way and will be missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her son Robert Collins and his wife Lisa, her daughter Cynthia Jurado and her husband Roy, her daughter-in-law Margie Collins. sister Patti Fullam, her brother Robert Porter and his wife Linda, her grandchildren Michael Collins, Amy Collins, Melissa Garcia, Sean Collins, Brianna Collins, and Michelle McKim also her great grandchildren Riley Collins, Bryan Collins, Rian Morales, and Mason Garcia.
Barbara was preceded in death by her brother Neil Porter, her husband Ron Venable, and her son Randy Collins.
