Betty was born in her family home in Arkansas to Lawrence William Price and Martha Winnie Price. As a teenager, she moved with her family to California, where she attended Baldwin Park High School and later began raising her family.
On June 1, 1980, Betty married Timothy Roy Bascom, with whom she shared more than 46 years of marriage. Betty worked for Rain Bird Sprinklers for many years, becoming highly skilled in surface mount technology work. Following retirement, she and Timothy moved to Big Bear, California, where they enjoyed a quiet and peaceful life surrounded by the natural beauty she loved.
Betty found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved reading, listening to country music, her animals, sipping tea, flowers and the great outdoors. She enjoyed quilting and exercising, and could often be found watching Hallmark movies or laughing along with The Golden Girls. Most of all, she treasured her family.
Betty was a woman of faith with a kind heart and strong moral compass. She believed in doing what was right, caring for those she loved, and treating others with kindness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence William Price and Martha Winnie Price, and her siblings, Dianna Estelle Wharmby and William Baxter Price.
