Cameron was born on May 12, 1992 in Victorville, CA. Two months early and weighing in at 2 pounds 15 ounces, he came into the world on his own schedule, a tiny lil fighter and lived fiercely and fearlessly to the fullest, sticking his brand of lightning everywhere he went. He was the first baby in the family and we built a village around him. He had no siblings but found so many to call him Brother and Son. He was easy to love and loved hard right back. He went about life with ease and friendliness—which meant he made friends wherever he went. He was generous, kind, loving, and big-hearted. Cameron loved and cared for his friends and family without bounds and he was a profound lover of his pets: dogs, cats, guinea pigs and chickens. But his biggest love and his proudest accomplishment was being a Daddy to his precious girls.
After Cameron graduated from high school, he went to Northwest Lineman College in Denton, Texas to follow his dream of becoming a lineman. He moved back to California to kickstart his career, where he eventually became a journeyman. Cameron loved his job and the exhilarating work that he did—hanging from the harness of the helicopters and climbing towers hundreds of feet in the sky. He was so proud to be a member of IBEW Local 47.
Cameron lived his life with a joie de vivre. He always had a smile on his face that lit up the room. He loved taking his boat out and waterskiing with family and friends. Cameron was an adventure seeker who loved snowboarding, skateboarding, and BMX bike riding, and excelled at every sport he participated in. He was fearless, yet gentle-spirited and compassionate---always willing to lend a helping hand.
Cameron was a son, grandson, father, nephew, cousin, and friend. He is survived by his mom Denise, his girls Charlotte and Evelyn, the mother of his children Maddie, his Pop Jim and Nana Gayle, aunts Laura and Geri, uncles Eric and Daniel, cousins Angelica, Kassandra, Allison, and Jaxon. Cameron was preceded in death by his grandparents Brent and Tina and his stepdad Brad. He leaves an amazing network of extended family and friends who he will always be Brother to.
Cameron will forever be missed and our lives will never be the same without him.
A celebration of life will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Apple Valley on October 5th at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon following. Thank you all for being a part of Cameron's village.
