

He was born June 8, 1920, in Mott, North Dakota, to the late Christian and Victoria Schaaf. Dominic served in the United States Army Signal Corp during WWII, with the 162nd Battalion, Camp Crowder, Missouri.
Dominic was a devout Catholic and a loving servant of the Lord and was a member of Our Lady of the Desert Catholic Church, Apple Valley.
During his life, Dominic worked as an auto mechanic for Ford Motor Company and later as a handyman for Century 21 Fairway until he was 90. He dedicated his life to helping his family and others in need with home and car repairs.
Dominic is predeceased by his spouse of 65 years, Gladys Marie Schaaf (2012).
Dominic is survived by five children, son Daniel of Rowlett, Texas; daughter April (and David) Whitaker of Apple Valley; daughter Glenda Ebersole of Apple Valley; daughter Susan (and Fred) Clayton of San Gabriel; son David of Sacramento; nine grandchildren, Eric Dixon, Laura (and Freddy) Vega, Jennifer Clayton, Valerie (and Jeremy) Mack, Justin Clayton, Ryan (and Jackie) Ebersole, Vincent (and Ashley) Schaaf, Angela (and Chris) O’Connor; 11 great grandchildren (Michael, Angelina, Ashley, Valerie, Lorelei, Isaiah, Alexis, Henry, Kaitlyn, Wyatt, Dominic); his sister, Frances of Prineville, Oregon, and brother, Christ of Milton, Wisconsin. He is further survived by nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many friends.

A cemetery burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
