It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dorothy Ann Hernandez, who left us peacefully on February 5, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on March 13, 1961, Dorothy was known for her vivacious spirit and her ability to bring joy to every occasion. Whether at a family gathering or a social event, she was the heart of the celebration, drawing people to her with warmth and charm.

Dorothy was a woman who lived boldly and embraced life with unwavering enthusiasm. Among the many roles she held, the one that stood out most was her role as a caretaker. She was the ultimate team mom, the dependable figure who provided not only guidance but also the encouragement and tough love that everyone needed. Dorothy was a fierce cheerleader, always supportive and proud of those she cared for, but never afraid to call out what needed to be addressed.

A friend to all, Dorothy was known for her reliability, courage, and outspoken nature. She was full of life, and her energy and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Her legacy will be cherished by her family and friends, who will miss her dearly.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, three children, grandchildren, mother, brother, and a host of extended family and friends.

Her life was defined by her loyalty to those she loved and her dedication to her family, who were her greatest pride. Dorothy will be remembered for her passion for dancing, singing, lecturing with humor, building connections, cooking, and always being the one to pack a perfect road trip bag. She was a constant supporter and a compassionate listener, and her presence will be sorely missed.

A homemaker, caretaker, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, coach, and friend—Dorothy wore many hats, all with love and devotion.

The service will be held at Sunset Hills Mortuary and Memorial Park on Saturday, March 22nd. The visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM.
