

Bishop Dr. Eldoris Bonner
May 30, 1936- September 21, 2019
Apple Valley, California- It is with sorrow that we announce Bishop Dr. Eldoris Bonner, a friend to many has transitioned from this life on September 21, 2019 after a long illness. Eldoris was the First Administrative Assistant of Faith Ministries International Network of Churches INC, Former Pastor Faith Ministries Apple Valley, Gospel musical Legend, Community Activists, Public Educator, poet and Gospel Song Composer and a voice that none will ever forget.
Dr. Bonner fought a long battle for over two and a half years, and she showed her toughness and resiliency every step of the way. She continued to believe God with undeniable faith until the end.
We can all hear her even now saying: “In GALATIONS 6:9 you will find these words:” “Be not weary in well doing for in due season you shall reap if you faint not.” “PRAISE THE LORD EVERYBODY!”
She will also be forever remembered for her Gospel rendition of “Walk Together Children” in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW) choirs/ congregations, and conventions.
Some of her past associated church affiliations include: Faith Home Assembly Church, Los Angeles, California; Greater Bethany Church Los Angeles, California; and Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Worldwide conventions and conferences; Shield of Faith Ministries, Pomona California; and Mt. Olive Original Church of God, Menlo Park, California.
Dr. Bonner, and twin sister Deloris, (who preceded her in death) were natives of Canton, Ohio. These two identical girls were born May 30, 1936 to the parents of Eugene and Susanna Bonner. She attended Canton public schools. She graduated from McKinley High School and attended Kent State University. She graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a BA degree in Education. She earned her PhD in Christian Theology, Divinity, and Philosophy from Pentecostal Bible College, Tuskegee, Alabama.
Dr. Eldoris Bonner is remembered as the first Black Policewoman to serve in Canton, Ohio, and she later moved to Los Angeles, California where she retired after 15 years of service with the Los Angeles Public School District.
Dr. Bonner was an Ordained Minister in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. She was the Founder and Pastor of Pentecostal Christian Church, Hollywood, California. She served as Pentecostal Bible College Southern California Educational Director and founded Elbon College of Ministry, Apple Valley, California. She also served The Town of Apple Valley as Counsel Chaplin for many years, and until her death, served faithfully in the office of First Administrative Assistant Bishop for Faith Ministries International Network of Churches INC., Apple Valley, California and as the Co-Founder and President of Elbon-Solutions College of Ministry, Apple Valley, California for twenty years.
Dr. Eldoris Bonner is the recipient of numinous civic, community, and ministerial awards, commendations and acknowledgments for her contributions of excellence throughout her life.
