Guadalupe Edwina Demay

Guadalupe Edwina DeMay, age 80, passed peacefully on April 9, 2026, surrounded by the love that she so freely gave throughout her life. She was born on June 7, 1945, and lived a life deeply rooted in faith, family, and devotion.

Guadalupe was the heart and soul of her family. Together with her beloved husband, Louis, she built a strong foundation that began with a family of four and blossomed into a large and loving legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She knew each one personally—by name, by story, and by heart. Her love was steady, present, and unwavering.

Her life was a living testimony of her faith in Christ. With gentle strength and a joyful spirit, she dedicated herself to guiding others toward Him—beginning with her husband and continuing through generations of family. She had a special way of reaching people where they were, offering patience, humor, and love. Many in her family lovingly credit her for helping guide even the most wayward among them into a stronger walk in the Catholic faith.

A devoted parishioner of St. Junípero Serra Catholic Church, Guadalupe found strength, community, and purpose in her church, living out her faith not just in words, but in action every day.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet wisdom, and the way she made everyone feel deeply loved. Her presence was a comfort, her faith a light, and her legacy one that will continue to guide her family for generations to come.

A Mass in her honor will be held on May 22 at 10:00 AM at St. Junípero Serra Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Sunset Hills Memorial Park.

Family and friends are warmly invited to join in a Celebration of Life following the services on the scenic High Desert patio, where her life will be honored with love, remembrance, and togetherness.

Though she has entered eternal rest, Guadalupe’s love, faith, and spirit remain woven into the lives of all who knew her. She is deeply loved, forever missed, and now at peace in the presence of the Lord.
