

Maggie was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend who will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely. Family was at the heart of her life and she had a special way of making those she loved feel cared for and at home.
Born to Francisca Escobedo and Carlos Lopez, Maggie was one of eleven children. Throughout her life, her family continued to grow and she embraced each person with love.
Maggie shared meaningful early years with her late husband, Freddy Chavez, and later shared 33 wonderful and adventurous years with her beloved husband, Robert “Rob” Harmon, until his passing. She was a loving mother and Nana to a large and close-knit family.
Maggie found great joy in family gatherings, celebrations, dancing, and the simple moments spent together. She showed her love through the meals she prepared, and her family will always remember her delicious homemade dishes—especially her famous salsa.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her tremendous happiness and she shared a special and unique bond with each of them. Her warmth, humor, traditions, and the many memories they created together will continue to be treasured for generations.
Maggie leaves behind her daughter, Monique and her husband, Gabriel Silva Sr.;Cecilia Flores, Freddy Chavez Jr., Lisa Sastre and Robert Chavez; her sisters, Toni Rosas, Ida Flammini, and Mary Padilla; along with her many beloved grandchildren, Arianna, Raeanne, Andrew, Gabriel Jr., Kalysta, Jacqueline, Janis, J.R., Freddy, Zachery, Cody, Alyssa, Kayla, and great-grandchildren, Alina, Olyve, Angelo, Alaina, Jett, Jax, Ramona, Thomas, Vivian, and extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Francisca Lopez; her husbands, Freddy Chavez and Robert “Rob” Harmon; her sisters, Flora Botkin and Lupe Hinojosa; her brothers whose lives were brief and who passed before Maggie’s early years; and her beloved granddaughter, Renee Flores.
Maggie leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, strength, and cherished memories. She was deeply loved, will be deeply missed, and will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
