A Proud Marine, Loving Husband, Devoted Family Man, and Forever Warrior
With heavy hearts, we announce that Manny Murillo passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 36.
Manny was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran who served his country with honor, courage, and pride. He carried a Marine’s discipline, loyalty, and warrior spirit throughout his life.
After his military service, Manny continued to show his dedication and strong work ethic as a ready-mix concrete truck driver for Hi-Grade Materials. He was no stranger to early mornings, long hours, or hard work. He took pride in being a provider and understood that taking care of his family meant making sacrifices, even when those sacrifices went unseen.
A Loving Tribute from His Wife, Leslie
When I first met Manny in college, he was a great friend. Never in a million years did I imagine that years later, when our paths crossed again, he would become my husband and such an important part of my life. But if you knew Manny, you knew he was persistent. Once he set his mind to something, there wasn't much that could change it. And apparently, he had set his mind on me! He was determined; he won me over, and, well, the rest is history.
One thing I will forever admire about Manny is how he stepped into my life and embraced my family without hesitation. Manny and I did not have biological children together, but that never stopped him from taking on the role of a father. He loved my children, and he extended that same love and devotion to my niece and nephews. He didn't have to take on those responsibilities, but he chose to. He chose us. And that is something I will forever be grateful for.
Manny sacrificed so much for me and my family. He worked hard and gave so much of himself. He wasn't always a man of many words when it came to expressing his feelings, but his actions spoke volumes. He showed his love by being there and making sure the people he cared about were taken care of.
Now, let me tell you, Manny was a Marine, and if you know, you know! He was stubborn, strong-willed, set in his ways, and definitely had that tough Marine personality. Believe me, he could test my patience! But underneath that rough exterior was a man with a good heart. A man who was loyal, hardworking, caring, and solid. And when I say solid, I mean someone you could count on when it mattered most.
I love Manny. I loved the man he was, the strength he carried, and the heart that not everyone got to see. I am honored that he chose to share his life with me.
I will forever be grateful for the friendship that brought us together, the persistence that turned that friendship into love, and the years I was blessed to call him my husband.
Manny, thank you for choosing me. Thank you for choosing my children. Thank you for loving our family and for every sacrifice you made along the way. I hope you knew just how much you loved and appreciated.
You were my husband, my friend, my Marine, and our warrior. And you will forever be a part of us.
Semper Fi, my love. Until we meet again.
