Mary Lou Roberts

Mary Lou Roberts was born in Los Angeles, California on December 3, 1934. Mary Lou was the daughter of James Thomas Heath and Marie Orsola (Walder) Heath of Los Angeles, CA. Raised in various parts of California during the depression including the bay area, San Diego and parts of Nevada. She spent a lot of her summers in Seal Beach, CA. She was a graduate of Huntington Beach High School. She took care of her Grandmother born grandmother Elvira (Marchetti) Walder when she was in Seal Beach. Mary Lou was married to Charles Dunn in Orange County, Ca and gave birth to her daughter Debra Leigh Dunn in 1958. She was an officer’s wife for many years before she was divorced. In 1967 as a single mom in Anaheim, CA she met her beloved husband for 50 years, Richard Dawes Roberts. They raised three children together in Diamond Bar, CA. While raising her family, she was the favorite mom in the neighborhood. The last twenty years of her life were spent in Apple Valley, CA where she spent much of her time with her granddaughter Angela. Mary Lou loved spending time with her children and granddaughter. Like her grandmother and mother before her she loved movies, all music, television and what we now call pop culture. She is survived by children Debra Leigh Roberts of Apple Valley, CA, Robin Louise Roberts of Carlsbad, CA, James Rowland Roberts of Sugarloaf, Ca,; Brother, Bud Heath of Norco, CA and Granddaughter Angela Alihari of Apple Valley. For generations she will be remembered as a beloved wife and mother.
