Monica was a beloved wife to Wanda, a devoted mother to her sons Donte and Andre, and a dedicated grandmother to Charlotte. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She is survived by her brother, 6 nieces and nephews, 6 great-nieces and nephews, and countless relatives and friends.
A dedicated educator, Monica taught English at the Apple Valley Unified School District for 25 years. She also instituted the Gay/Straight Alliance at Granite Hills High School in 2002. Outside of her career, she found joy in quilting, boating, and bringing people together for celebrations with her culinary skills.
Monica was known for her selflessness, always putting others first. She embraced her roles as a foster parent, adoptive parent, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend with unwavering love and generosity. Her warm spirit and love for cooking brought people together, creating cherished memories for all who knew her.
