Patrick Joseph Silvestri

Patrick Joseph Silvestri passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, steadfast friend and skilled leader, Patrick had a profound impact on many lives.

Patrick began his career in 1969 as a novice engineer at Victor Valley Hospital. Upon his retirement in 2018, Patrick was the Vice-president of Facilities and Development for Prime Healthcare of Ontario, CA. Throughout his career, Patrick was widely known and deeply respected for his unwavering integrity. Patrick was a kind and constant coach and mentor to his staff, earning him the fond nickname of Pat Daddy. Pat was highly regarded for his intellect, trustworthiness, honesty and work ethic by his colleagues and peers. Patrick was the President of the California Society of Healthcare Engineers, and a featured speaker at several American College of Healthcare Executives conferences. In 2016, Patrick was honored by Victor Valley College as a Distinguished Alumni. Patrick’s community involvement ranged from the Treasurer of Apple Corps, the booster club for the Apple Valley High School Marching Sundevils, to a member of the Victor Valley Emergency Operations Committee.

Pat was an ardent lover of nature and was as equally enthralled by the unique rock formations of Monument Valley as he was the towering Redwoods and the mighty Mendenhall Glacier. He had a deep respect for all creatures great and small, and was continually thrilled by the visits of black bears, deer, racoons, bobcats and grey squirrels to the backyard of his mountain home.

Patrick’s family was of utmost importance to him. A caring husband and dedicated father, he was overjoyed to welcome his six grandchildren. Pat’s generosity was a hallmark and he relished in treating his family to wonderful beach vacations in Hawaii and exciting ski trips to Park City and Brianhead, UT. Family houseboat vacations on Lake Mead were Pat’s hands-down favorite.

Pat traveled extensively with his wife Jennifer. Their adventures took them to far flung corners of the globe such as Antarctica and the Arctic Circle. The Galapagos Archipelago, Ireland, and Thailand were also favorites. Their excursions included India, Norway, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, London, Paris, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Vancouver and Banff.

A skilled baseball player and coach, Pat was also an avid boater and talented slalom skier, and an advanced snow skier. He enjoyed golf, NCAA football, NASCAR and Formula 1.

Patrick is survived by his wife Jennifer Silvestri; son Gregery Silvestri and daughter-in-law Tami Silvestri of Keller, TX; daughter Halle Amaral and son-in-law Flavio Amaral of Enterprise NV; sister Shannon Cole and brother-in-law Ken Cole of Burbank and six grandchildren.
