Rachel Maria Jones

Rachel Maria Jones passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 42. Born on June 24, 1983, to the union of Ronald B. Jones & Rita A. Jones. She was known for being compassionate, courageous, and charismatic. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her grandmother Melva Jones. Son, Ezekiel Whiting. Sisters, Rhonda Jones, Rekema Alaniz, Rolanda Jones and brother, Joshua Jones. Cousins Mathew Glen Jones and Cherise Jones Rogan. She is also survived by five nephews, three nieces, and many other family members and friends.

Rachel’s life was characterized by her love for being a mother. She was a skillful musician who played the saxophone, piano, and xylophone. She also enjoyed reading, crafting, working, teaching, and helping others. She aimed to grow personally and positively impact others. Her kindness and ambition will always be remembered.

Rachel worked for the County of San Bernardino Transitional Assistance Department for twelve years as an Eligibility Worker and Supervisor. She was an active member of her local church and taught Sunday School. She loved to give back to her community and organized a donation drive and hand delivered care packages to the homeless.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunset Hills Mortuary, located at 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA 92307, on December 17, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

A Reception will follow at the same location from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
