Ralph NMN D’Errico, age 80, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025. Born on August 21, 1945, Ralph was known as the quiet soul with the biggest heart and the warmest smile in any room he entered. Though soft-spoken, his presence was deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
Ralph lived a life marked by honor, dedication, and unwavering love for his family. He proudly served in the United States Navy for four years, wearing his service like a badge of honor. Anyone who knew Ralph knew how much being a Navy veteran meant to him—he wore his Navy shirts with pride and carried that chapter of his life close to his heart.
After his service, Ralph worked various small jobs before beginning his long and accomplished career as a truck driver. He became a proud Teamster, driving for ACME Markets in New York before continuing his career as a Teamster in Phoenix, Arizona, and later in Barstow, California with Yellow Freight. No matter where life took him, Ralph worked hard, stayed committed, and formed lifelong friendships along the way.
Ralph was a devoted husband, father, grandfather (Nanu), and friend. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Anne Marie D’Errico, as well as his brothers Tom D’Errico and Joe D’Errico. He is survived by his sons Brett-Allen D’Errico and daughter-in-law Dina D’Errico, Keith Edward D’Errico and daughter-in-law Kathryn D’Errico and Step-Daughter Malinda Cannon; along with his cherished grandchildren, Tyler D’Errico and Kamryn D’Errico.
Ralph’s life was a beautiful reflection of quiet strength and steady love. His smile could light up a room, and his gentle nature brought comfort to everyone around him. He treasured the simple joys—spending time with Anne at the senior center, enjoying bingo nights, taking little trips to Laughlin, and sharing dinners with friends. One of his greatest joys was cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. He never missed a game, always the proud grandfather in the stands, offering unwavering support.
To know Ralph was to feel loved, supported, and cared for. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and all who were blessed to share in his life.
Viewing for Ralph will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00 with services to follow after at Sunset Hills Memorial Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ralph‘s name to the Barstow Senior Center in Barstow, California.
