

Ricardo Aparicio passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, at the age of 33. Born on January 09, 1993, he was known for being a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle, godson, nino, and friend. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Marlene Strickland, his sister Saida Gayle and brother-in-law Breyer Gayle, his brother Tristen Gomez, and his nephews Colton and Waylon Gayle.
Ricardo’s life was characterized by living life to the fullest and loving his family. He valued hard work and creating adventures that have long-lasting memories. He was passionate about seeing the world. During his time on Earth, he visited New Orleans, Georgia, Mexico, London, Belize, Texas, Las Vegas, and Virginia. Ricardo craved adventure. He joined the US Army in 2015, where he was in the 79th Ordinance Battalion EOD, also known as the bomb squad. He valued the morals and the life lessons he learned during his time in military service. Ricardo enjoyed music. Whether it was listening to music in the car, watching music videos, or playing music throughout the house, music was his hobby. Ricardo had an amazing talent for playing the guitar, saxophone, and trumpet. He bought his own house at the age of 25. With hard work, sacrifice, and long hours as an Aeronautical Engineer for General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, he was able to achieve this accomplishment for himself. Ricardo also had a relationship with Christ. He would join worship groups, attend bible study, and men's retreats. During holidays, he would host bible groups for those who didn't have family.
Ricardo will be remembered for the love that he radiated and his gentle soul. He was known to be a respectable gentleman who always had a firm handshake. Ricardo made those around him laugh and feel welcomed. His heart was always in the right place when it came to helping those in need.
Ricardo will truly be missed. His memory will live on in those whom he impacted. A person like him will never be forgotten.
