Richard Louis Wilson

Rick was an exceptional man, he had many talents and interests, and could fix almost anything. He collected old police scanners, and he had them all operational, even the ones that he had to hunt down the tubes for. Rick had a great sense of humor, and was always willing to help if you needed a hand.

Rick was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving most of his military time in Georgia, and then lived most of his adult life in the high desert. He loved the desert, and was always awed by the sunrise and sunset.

Early in his EMS career, Rick worked for Desert Com as a fire dispatcher in the early 1990’s, and ended his career as a fire dispatcher at MCLB Barstow before his retirement in 2020. Rick enjoyed being home with Joyce, going to the movies, and taking care of the cats.

Rick is survived by his beloved fiancée Joyce Brady, and siblings Nancy Feraz, Roger Wilson and Shelly Wilson.

Memorial Service for Richard will be held at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518 on Tuesday, March 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM.
