Robert Sanders passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on September 21, 1975, in Pomona, California, Robert grew up in Chino Hills, surrounded by the love of his family and his church community at Pilgrim Congregational Church.
As a child, Robert spent countless summers visiting family in White Pines and attending church camp, creating lifelong memories with family and friends. He was active in Boy Scouts, proudly achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, an accomplishment that reflected his dedication, determination, and character from a young age. Robert loved playing with his favorite transformer toy and traveling across the United States with his parents and brother, exploring new places and building cherished memories along the way.
After graduating from Ayala High School, Robert went on to study in the Honda Mechanic Program, where he discovered his entrepreneurial spirit. He began buying and selling Honda parts online — the beginning of what became a lifelong passion for collecting, fixing, and selling items through his eBay business.
Robert dedicated over 16 years of service as a Wastewater Operator at Eastern Municipal Water District, where he was known as a hardworking, dependable, and loyal team member. Always willing to take extra shifts, Robert took great pride in his work and in providing for his family.
Above all, Robert was a devoted husband and loving father to his four daughters — Sophia, Stella, Sadie, and Daphne. He loved Deanna deeply; together they shared not only a great love but a remarkable friendship. Robert always made sure Deanna had her favorite things in the house — whether it was snacks, drinks, or by quietly taking care of household chores to make her day a little easier — a reflection of the thoughtful and caring ways he showed his love every day.
He took great joy in being present for his girls — helping with homework, driving them to activities, volunteering at their school, and never missing an opportunity to make them laugh. He was affectionately known as the “tickle monster” to his nephew, and his playful, gentle spirit left lasting memories with all who knew him.
Robert was also known for his kindness, generosity, and caring heart. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, whether it was a friend, a coworker, or a stranger. His ability to connect with others was one of his greatest gifts — he could start a conversation with anyone and instantly make them feel comfortable and valued. His warm smile, infectious voice, and outgoing personality brightened every room he entered.
Robert was an active parent volunteer at Carmel Elementary School, where he was cherished by staff and students alike for his friendly smile and willingness to help wherever needed.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed spending time with family and friends, visiting local breweries, hunting for treasures at garage sales, and practicing his aim at the shooting range. He was a proud supporter of small, local businesses — often starting his mornings with a coffee from Solo Brew, enjoying a family dinner at Juliano’s, or spending his Thursdays at the local farmer’s market. A true foodie, Robert loved exploring new restaurants, but his all-time favorite meal was always a good BBQ.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Deanna Sanders, and their four daughters, Sophia, Stella, Sadie, and Daphne; his mother, Judy Sanders; his brother, Brian Sanders; and his nephew, Leigh Sanders.
Robert will be remembered for his humor, kindness, hard work, and the love he poured into every part of his life. His take on life, generosity, and joyful spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
