A long time resident of Apple Valley, CA , Robert Timothy Wilkins Jr. , 81, passed away on October 7, 2016. He was born on December 17, 1934 to Robert Timothy Wilkins Sr. and Ida Mae (Harris) Wilkins in Memphis, TN.
He worked for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power for 30 years, starting as a janitor and retiring as an Electrical Mechanic Supervisor. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, reading and writing poetry, researching history, and keeping up to-date on current events and politics.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 39 years, Gay Eva Wilkins, his 2 sons, 3 daughters, 2 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, 5 siblings, and a host of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
There will be a Funeral service on Thursday October 13, 2016 at 1pm at Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary.
