December 3, 1947 – February 18, 2026
Ronald Wilson Mead Sr., 78, passed away on February 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. He was a proud Vietnam veteran and a Purple Heart recipient, wounded in service to his country—a testament to his courage and strength.
Ron is survived by his 2 children,12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren, along with his two sisters and three brothers, and by many others who loved him.
He was a man who could be described in many ways: loving, strong, stubborn, and Incredibly giving. Ron lived life on his own terms. He found joy in simple, meaningful moments: spending time at the river with his family, fishing on his boat in Minnesota, riding his horse, riding dirt bikes, or cruising on his Harley. He had a passion for adventure, and travel, and was proud to be involved with the Sheriff's, The Ranger's and the HOGS.
Ron had a natural gift for humor. He always had a joke ready and did his best to make people laugh, even in difficult times. He was imperfectly perfect and deeply loved. He will be missed, remember, and carried in the hearts of all that knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunset Hills Mortuary, located at 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley, CA, 92307, United States. The service is scheduled for April 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
