Terry Lee Forrest

June 19, 1946 – October 3, 2025

Terry Lee Forrest, 79, of Lucerne Valley, California, passed away at his home on October 3, 2025. Terry moved to Lucerne Valley with his family at the age of three and spent 76 years of his life in the community he loved.

Though often quiet and reserved, Terry was naturally outgoing and found great joy in photography. He was rarely seen without a camera in hand, capturing everyday moments. His passion for the craft led him to learn to develop and print his own film.

Terry worked for Accent Fence Company for 40 years, serving as the yard foreman. He was known for his dedication and steady work ethic. He also held various other jobs throughout his life, including positions at Jess Ranch Poultry Farm and the Barstow Marine Base.

Terry proudly served in the United States Army as a cook. His skill in the kitchen was well recognized, and during his time working with the forestry service, he was relied upon preparing meals for the teams. Terry enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his free time camping, hiking, and fishing. He was also a lifetime member of the Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA).

A graduate of Victor Valley High School, Class of 1964, Terry later attended Victor Valley College. He was a talented mechanic who took pride in maintaining and repairing his own vehicles, especially older models. He credited his father for teaching him and his siblings the fundamentals of mechanics and vehicle care.

Terry is survived by his siblings John Forret (Jeannette), Pennie Forrest Cockburn (Bruce), and Robin Forrest (Frankie); and by his niece and nephews Sarah Smith, Johnny Forrest, Tim Forrest, Peter Forrest, Tom Cockburn, Krystle Forrest, Kim Moren, and Cody Forrest.

Terry will be remembered for his quiet strength, his devotion to family, and the simple joys he found in nature, photography, and a life lived with purpose.

A committal service will be held at the External Service Location, located at 32533 CA-18, Lucerne Valley, CA 92356, United States. The service is scheduled for November 20, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
