Thomas Richard Wilder

He was born in Port Huron, MI on October 24th, 1948 to Franke and Eulalia (Babe) Wilder. After high school, Tom enlisted in the US Air Force and volunteered for a Tour of Duty in Vietnam.

After that Tour of Duty, Tom was stationed in Spain, where he met his sweetheart, Jennifer Stonehouse. Tom and Jenny were married on March 24th, 1971. They shared many adventures together during their 51 year marriage including raising a family, hiking, exploring bicycle trails, and traveling.

Following his service in the Air Force, Tom eventually secured his dream job as Auto Damage Estimator for State Farm Insurance. He retired in 2003, having developed lifelong friendships with colleagues.

Tom is survived by his wife, Jennifer and their two children, Cathleen Wilder of Aberdeen, WA and William Wilder of Apple Valley, CA. His siblings are Cathleen (David) Marks of Fort Gratiot, MI, Frank Wilder of Emmett, MI and Anette (Tim) Roskey of Vevay, IN. Tom and Jenny have 4 grandchildren, William Wilder Jr. of Victorville, CA, Nicholle Wilder of Victorville, CA, Matthew (Ella) Krohn of Aberdeen, WA, and Brianne Krohn of Olympia, WA. They also have one great-granddaughter, Audrey Krohn of Aberdeen, WA.

Tom will be honored at Sunset Hills Memorial Park (24000 Waalew Road Apple Valley, CA 92307) on May 22, 2023 at 11:00 am.
