Abigail Joy Turner - Boone

Abby Joy Turner-Boone was born on a Sunday, February 15, 1987. Our heavenly Father called her home on a Sunday as well, March 18, 2018. Abby was a daughter to Larry and Susan Turner, a sister to Carrie, Kenny, Sam, and Stephanie Turner, a dear friend to many, a dedicated and passionate case manager at Family Gateway, and the most incredible wife a man could ask for to Aaron Boone.

What happened over the course of her 31 years on this earth was nothing short of miraculous. "You can't accomplish this" was a phrase that held no meaning to her, simply a few words strung together said by those who had no idea just how much she was capable of overcoming. She was everything you ever dreamed for in a daughter, sister, friend, co-worker, and life partner. She was a fiercely independent woman and very strong willed. However, if you were lucky enough to crack her shell, even just a little, you were rewarded with love and loyalty to last a lifetime. Abby showed kindness and compassion to those who needed it, gave strength to those that were weak, and always knew just the right thing to say anytime her husband was lost for words. She was slow to anger, quick (most of the time) to forgive, and always ready to listen if you needed to unburden yourself.

Most importantly though, Abby loved the Lord and the Lord rewarded that love with blessings beyond measure. Her faith was a shining light in a world filled with darkness. Anyone that spent any real time with her could tell that she was a child of God and that her beliefs were her bedrock. Of course, the more time you spent with Abby, some other topics were to have likely come up. She never met a four legged, furry friend that she couldn't love. Her passion for the Texas Rangers was unrivaled, and a night (or day if it wasn't summer) out at the ballpark was one of her favorite places to be. She loved the ocean and having her feet in the water as the tide came in and out. She loved to dance to the song that was playing in her head, with a little shimmy and a smile that would warm your heart. She was a sucker for a good romantic comedy, and every once in a good while, a night out with her closest friends - Bethany, Kenzie, and Alyse - where a strawberry swirl margarita may (or may not) have been found within her reach. She was also exceedingly passionate about her work. Being a case manager at Family Gateway allowed Abby to touch the lives of so many who desperately needed somebody to care, and care she did to the most fullest extent. While Abby did not have any children of her own blood, over the many years at Family Gateway she came to know many "my babies", as she was fond of calling them. While she was not their legal care taker, they had a guardian angel in her, at least for as long as they were in her life.

Abby Joy Turner-Boone was loved by many, and will be missed by many more. The gift that was her life will live on in our memories for decades to come. She will never be forgotten. She will always be cherished.

A memorial service for Abigail will be held Friday, March 30, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, Texas. A reception will occur Friday, March 30, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, Texas.
