Alfredo Garcia

Born on November 2, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Alfredo was raised by his loving parents, Maria and Juan Garcia, in the state of Indiana. On December 22, 1978, he married his beloved wife, Miriam Garcia. They shared 48 years of marriage and 50 years together.

Freddy will be remembered as a man of God and a loving, devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was also an exceptional son-in-law who helped care for his in-laws until their passing and my illness took care of me. Freddy was a man of many talents and a very hard worker his entire life. He worked in Inland SteeI in Indiana for 18 yrs. In 1989 we moved to Puerto Rico. The Lord blessed him by being near the ocean and working and learning more about his craft that he loved from a certified wood Master from Germany in a resort near the ocean where he would do his morning devotional. He would always say that the Lord permitted him to live his dream and be able to live those years in the island.

Freddy obeyed the commandment of honoring our parents and we made the move to Puerto Rico to able to care for our parents. Freddy was a quiet servant helping and serving in the Ministry on Two Wheels and many other ministries, visiting the prisons and orphanage giving the children a spin on the motorcycle to bring them joy and helping those in needed. Family unity was of the utmost importance to Freddy. He put God and love above all else and cherished spending quality time with his sons and his beloved grandchildren:

Family and friends will always remember Freddy as a loving, joyful person with many talents who loved to serve and always working in the ministry. To know him is to love him. Those words, along with the words of a Caregiver at the facility that said to my son Marcos and I that he was a man of testimony, reflects the impact he had on everyone around him. Although he was unable to speak during the last three years of his life, Freddy showed that love is a word of action—and that was who he was.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Garcia; his mother, Maria Garcia; and his grandson, Jeylen Adrian Garcia. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Miriam and 3 sons David J., Daniel R., Marcos A. and his loving. wife Mari that he loved immensely (Thank you Mama) and grandchildren Allen A, Angelia, Crystal L, and Elijah Garcia, and numerous family and friends.
