She was born on September 14, 1931, in Maywood, California, to Jack Hagopian and Anna Keljikian. The daughter of Armenian immigrants, Alice was deeply proud of her heritage, a pride she carried throughout her life. She was raised in Los Angeles, California, and graduated from Los Angeles City College in 1951.
Alice married Cleo Oldham in 1952, and they moved to Texas in 1954. Together they raised three children. She worked as an executive secretary at Mack Trucks for more than 23 years. After retiring, she continued working at the Arlington Visitor Center, where she loved promoting her city and formed lasting friendships with her coworkers, who became like family.
Alice was known for her gift of conversation and for the warmth and joy she brought to every gathering. She loved her family deeply and cherished every opportunity to bring everyone together. Her strong faith sustained her through life’s many challenges and was a guiding force in how she lived and loved. She was a founding member of St. Mark’s Parish in Arlington.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Griffin (Brian) and Lisa Pearson (Kirk); her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Oldham; her grandchildren, Jack Griffin, Caroline Griffin, Samuel Bryant, Callie Bryant, Chad Oldham (Tamara), Cory Oldham, and Hannah Taylor (Justin); and her great-grandchildren, Trae Oldham and Marley Oldham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Oldham; her son, Thomas (Tommy) Oldham; and her brother, Jack Hagopian.
Alice enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and reading and she shared her talents and love through the things she made for others.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the hospice staff at VITAS Healthcare for their compassionate care.
A requiem mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 20, 2026, at St. Mark’s Anglican Parish, 2024 S. Collins St., Arlington, Texas.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
