Alison Ann Yun

Alison Ann (Hurtado) Yun, age 55 (May 11, 1971) passed into the presence of her Heavenly Father on August 28, 2026, in Fairfax, VA. This followed a well-fought four-year battle with stage four breast and liver cancer. Alison was a princess warrior and never gave up hope; nor did she ever lose her confidence in the Lord. She encouraged many fellow survivors online and in person during her own treatment.

Alison was a graduate of Woodson High School and George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Being part of a military family she grew up primarily in Germany and Fairfax, Virginia. Alison worked as a senior project manager until a few weeks before her death.

Alison is survived by her son Jonathan D (Jay) Yun, her parents Dianna L. (Patterson) and Arthur D. Hurtado, and her partner Bryant Ward. She is also survived by her birth father Juan Brummett, her half-sisters Katy Harris and Hollis Wakefield; and by her Aunts and Uncles Regina and Dale Patterson, Helen (Hurtado) Decker and David Hurtado. Alison is also survived by many cousins. The family is grateful for the many prayers for Alison and family during her battle with cancer.

Graveside services and burial will be held at Moore’s Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 1219 N Davis Dr. Arlington, Texas on Saturday, September 19 at 11:00 am. Celebration of Life following at the funeral home (by invitation).
