Andres J. Montes, 93, of Dallas, Texas, passed away August 30, 2014. He was born in Mayfield, Texas on July 25, 1921. He was married to Margarita R. Montes on June 30, 1942. A.J. had a career in oil refinery with Fritz W. Glitch for 38 years . A.J. was very active in his church; he was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the cursillistas de colores group at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Margarita, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, parents and one great great grandchild Brianna. Survivor’s sons; Pete of Arlington, Andrew of Mineral Wells, Gilbert of Dallas, Willie of Grand Prairie, daughters; Consulo Mendoza of Grand Prairie, Ernestina Chankaya of Grand Prairie sisters; Dolly Montes, Angelina Montes of Dallas brother; Elias Montes of Dallas, 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Visitation Tuesday September 2, 2014 6:00pm - 8:00pm and Funeral Service Wednesday September 3, 2014 10:00am are both at Moore Funeral Home.
