Anita Grimes

On the evening of May 9, 2022, Anita Grimes went home to be with the Lord. Anita Grimes, 85, was born to C.J. and Annie Krodel, February 26, 1937, in Plano, Texas. Anita was saved and baptized at the age of sixteen. She was a majorette at Crozier Tech High School and graduated in 1955. In June of 1956, she married George Grimes and raised three children: Connie, Larry, and Donna. During her work career she had several accounting positions and retired from Blackmon Mooring. Anita enjoyed traveling, reading, and having lunch with her mother and sisters. She was kind, caring and giving with all her friends and family. Anita was preceded in death by her father, C.J. Krodel, her mother, Annie Krodel, her daughter, Donna, granddaughter Ashley Grimes, and sisters Dorothy Brown and Janice Simmons. She is survived by her husband, George, daughter Connie McAllister, and son Larry, three granddaughters—April Grimes Wallace, Alicia Denton, and Alayna Grimes, and three great-grandsons—Jack Wallace, Jr., Leo Grimes, and George Grimes Wallace, five nieces, Carolin, Brenda, Carla, Karen and Michelle, and one nephew, Mark. She has been a faithful and loving member of Trinity Baptist Church in Arlington, TX, since 1986. She loved the Lord and her church family. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 18th from 5-7 pm at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, TX 76012. The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 19th at 1:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church, 2212 N. Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery.
