Arthur Michael Hernandez

ARLINGTON -- Arthur, 85, born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX and a longtime resident of Arlington, TX, left this world and passed into his heavenly home on Friday, April 20, 2012. He was surrounded at his bedside by Mary, his loving, devoted wife of 66 years and their seven children.

Dad was a successful woman's merchandising businessman who owned Ralph's Uniform stores in several Texas cities. He was very proud to have served his country and is a World War II veteran. He was a longtime member of Saint Matthews Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Most importantly, our father will be remembered by his immeasurable acts of kindness, love, and support for his family, friends and community. He was a very wise and humble man who never met a stranger. Dad, you left our lives with an undefined sadness but our hearts more than “half full”.

Survivors: Loving Wife, Mary Carranco Hernandez; sons, Ralph Hernandez, Patrick Hernandez and wife Suzanne, Alexander Hernandez and wife Kim, daughters; Gloria North and husband Bob, Annette McKinnies and husband Marc, Mary Collier and husband Matt, Rose Sweeten and husband David. His grandchildren include; Stephen Hernandez, Tammy Nation, Lisa Hardy, Marc McKinnies II, April Postell, Krisie Whisenant, Ronald and Donald McKinnies, Julie Bell, Ian Collier, David Sweeten, Charlie Collier, Michael Hernandez, Amy Collier, Tyler Sweeten, Sam Collier and 18 wonderful great-grandchildren; nieces, Patricia Gomez, Lucille Garcia and husband Ramiro, Anne Valdez and husband Julian and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Rafaela and Euseibo, his beloved daughter Mary Sylvia, his sisters, Lala Gomez and Lou Gonzalez.

Viewing and Rosary: 12 -3 , Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, TX.

Church Service : 11 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Saint Matthews Catholic Church, 2021 New York Ave., Arlington. A graveside burial service will follow at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington.
