Funeral Mass: 1 p.m. Friday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2100 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington.
Beatrice was born in Marfa on June 18, 1915. She graduated from Marfa High School on May 19, 1933, married Richard Gonzales on Dec. 8, 1937, and raised a family of five in Marfa. Beatrice was very active in church choir and religious education at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marfa. She was an accomplished pianist and taught piano for some 20 years. In 1987, Beatrice and Richard celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They sold their home in Marfa and moved to Arlington in 1991. Richard died in Arlington in 1996.
Survivors: Beatrice is survived by her sister, Elidia Martinez; brothers, Raymond and Alfred Valenzuela; sons, Armando and Edward Gonzales; daughters, Delma Lewis and Thelma LaFarelle; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
