2018 in a Ft Worth, TX hospital after a short illness.
He was born on February 26, 1928 in Lawton, OK to Ben and Alta Fuqua Mobley. He served in the US Army during World War II. Don married Edith Mae Fulkerson on November 8, 1947 in Henrietta, TX. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in November of 2017 with all their family present. Don retired
from Affiliated Food Stores, Meat Department Director, in 1998 after a long career in the meat
industry. Don and Edith enjoyed many years traveling the US in their RV with his sister Bette
and brother-in-law Gerald. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, exercising to stay in good health,
and spending time with family. He was an active member of Living Church of God in Garland,
TX. His true love in his life was his devoted wife Edith, whose hand he held every day of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Bette Speck and great-granddaughter Haley
Mobley. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Edith, three sons: David and wife Betsy of
Granbury, Don and wife Vickie of Burleson and Tim Mobley of Granbury, 12 grandchildren, 15
great-grandchildren, brother Dick Mobley of Whitney, TX, nieces and nephews and numerous
friends and church family members. His loving, kind and patient spirit will be missed by all who
knew him.
A graveside service for Bennie will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas, Mr. Gary Stein will be officiating the service.
