She attended Grand Prairie High school and soon after graduation met the love of her life, Michael Jackson on a Greyhound Bus while he was on leave from the Army. He asked her father for her hand in marriage and they went on to have four children together. They were to celebrate their “50th” wedding anniversary this February 16 th. They currently reside in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Anyone that was graced by Nancy’s presence in their life knew her as a giving, caring, and selfless woman. Devoted to God and her family, nothing brought her more joy than her family and helping others. She was best described by her family using only two words: “Beautiful Woman.”
During her free time, she loved baking, some could say that she was known for her wonderful cakes, reading her Bible, and spending time with her loved ones, and talking hours on end . She was a talker.
She is preceded in death by her father Paul Cruz Sr, her mother Mary Cruz, her oldest son, Michael Jackson Jr., her grandson Michael Johnson, and all her siblings. She was the last Cruz of her generation.
Bertha is survived by the love of her life, her husband Michael E. Jackson Sr., her children, Michelle Parker of Dalworthington Gardens and Spouse Jon, Melissa Maturino of Grand Prairie and her spouse Jose, Mitchel Jackson of Grand Prairie and spouse Michelle . Grandchildren, Blake Mondragon, Lonnie Brooks, Angelica Jackson, James Cribbs, Joey Cisneros, and Madison Clark as well as many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012 followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Services will conclude with the committal service at Moore Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.
