Bobbie was born in Dunn, Texas to Robert G. Warren and Hattie Lee Henry. Bobbie is survived by her children, Joe Bob Powers and wife Fay of Arlington and Pam Wong of Arlington. Grandchildren, Sheila Powers Golen and husband Dave of Kingsville, Ohio; Will Currie and wife Melissa of McKinney; Cathy Currie Acree Francis and husband James of Grand Prairie; Cliff Powers and wife Brandi of New Braunfels. Six great grandchildren, Shelby Burdett of Hurst; Abigail Currie, Sophie Currie and Luke Currie of McKinney; Olivia Powers and Levi Powers of New Braunfels. Two great-great grandchildren, Colby Corbitt of Arlington and Reece Burdett of Hurst. Bobbie is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and her loving and devoted husband Joe Bailey Powers. She was also preceded in death by her eight siblings, Robert Warren, Marry Warren Tye, Mattie Warren Nixon, Hattie Warren Cooper, Fannie Warren Foster Havins, Annie Warren Price, Bradford Warren and Billie Jean Warren Hyde Hataway.
Bobbie graduated from Arlington High School in 1944 and married on September 23 of the same year. She loved gardening and sewing clothes for her family. Bobbie worked eight years at DFW Airport. She was a devoted member Bethel Assembly of God and Dayspring Church, both in Arlington.
Visitation for Bobbie Powers will be from 12:00pm–1:00pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. The Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. The Visitation and Funeral will be held at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr, Arlington. A graveside service will follow at Parkdale Cemetery, 701 S. Mary St, Arlington.
