

Bobby was born to Vertie and Thomas Perry in the farming community of England, Arkansas. He was the youngest child added to the family in 1931. He had four brothers: Weldon, Bryce, Cordell, and Seth and a sister, Betty. He was the last of his generation to survive, including siblings and in-laws. By the age of 14, he became uncle to several nieces. He had a total of 13 nieces and nephews.
After high school, he spent four years in the Airforce during the Korean War which led him to spending his career in the aviation industry.
In 1957, he married Faxine Jenkins in Little Rock, Arkansas after the two met on a blind date in 1956. They relocated to Oklahoma City and had two children, Philip and Alice. They were married for nearly 49 years at the time of Faxine's death in 2006.
They were long term members of Cross City Church (Formerly, First Baptist Church of Euless).
Bobby started his career with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) in 1957 in Oklahoma City. His career took him to New Orleans, Houston, and finally to the DFW area. In 1962, he completed his degree in Electrical Engineering being the first in his family to graduate from college.
Later in life, Bobby met Rosie Blackwell, his lady friend for 15 years. He enjoyed his later years in life with Rosie in senior activities, traveling, spending time with family, and towards the end, many television evenings.
Bobby never met a stranger, had a unique sense of humor, and loved gardening. He was always proud to have one of the most beautiful lawns in the neighborhood.
He is survived by his son, Philip Perry; his daughter, Alice Norwood; grandson, Zachary Norwood; along with Rosie Blackwell and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Thursday, November 11 at 2:00pm at Cross City Church of Euless. A reception will follow. Memorial contributions can be made in Bobby's name to Cross City Church, Animal Rescue, or the charity of your choice.
