May 17, 2001 – October 4, 2026
Brenan Daleshawn Collins, affectionately known as “Pappas,” of Arlington, Texas, passed away on October 4, 2026, in Edinburg, Texas, at the age of 25.
Brenan was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose life, though far too short, left a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved him.
From an early age, Brenan was strong-willed, independent, and unmistakably himself. He had a mind of his own, a stubborn streak that never quite left him, and a personality those closest to him will never forget. Beneath that stubbornness was a young man with a good heart who cared deeply, even when he did not always express it in words.
Brenan was often a man of few words. He did not need constant conversation to enjoy someone’s company. Sometimes simply being around the people he loved was enough. Whether watching a movie, talking about football, spending time with family, or just sitting together, Brenan found comfort in those ordinary moments.
He had dreams of traveling, exploring the world, and experiencing more of life. Like many young adults, he was still learning, growing, making mistakes, finding his way, and becoming the man he wanted to be. His family saw so much potential in him and always wanted the very best for his life.
Their love for Brenan was not only shown in easy moments. It was also shown through encouragement, guidance, difficult conversations, and the desire to see him become everything they knew he was capable of becoming. No matter what season of life he was in, Brenan always had people who cared for him deeply and wanted to see him happy, successful, and fulfilled.
He will be remembered for his independent spirit, his unforgettable personality, his love of football, and the quiet way he often simply wanted to be near the people who mattered most to him.
His absence will be felt in countless ways. His parents will forever miss their son and the future they imagined for him. His siblings will miss their brother, the memories they shared, the conversations, the laughter, and even the moments when he tested their patience. His nieces and nephews will miss their uncle and will continue to hear stories about the person he was and how much he loved them. His friends and extended family will miss the presence that was uniquely his.
There will be an emptiness in the ordinary moments now, the moments when Brenan would have simply shown up, sat down, and been part of the room. Those are the memories his family will carry with them and treasure the most.
Brenan is survived by his parents, Anna Hall, Darryl Hall, and Ellison Collins; his siblings, Shyanne Ellis (Jay), Dallas Gutierrez (Alexis), Zachary Collins, Shadaria Hall, DJ Hall, and Shalai Cuevas; his nephews, Solomon Ellis and Kashaun Collins; his nieces, Osen Ellis, Lillianah Clayton, and Ayla Gutierrez; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Brenan’s life ended far too soon, but the love surrounding him did not. He will be remembered as a deeply loved son, a cherished brother, a special uncle, and a friend whose presence mattered.
He will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
