

Brenda passed in Burleson, Texas on November 25, 2025. She now rests peacefully with those who passed before her. Born on September the 8th, 1952 to William Arlington Harris and Myrtle Harris Pruitt. Brenda was the third of four children who grew up in both Arkansas and Texas. From an early age she had a love of adventure and celebration.
Brenda was known for her love and celebration of Christmas and family get togethers, and made the holiday wonderous for all that came together in her home.
She attended Malvern high School in Arkansas and after school met and married Glenn Eugene Richie and together they had one daughter Regina. Brenda and Glenn were married until 1973.
Brenda worked as an office manager and a retail store manager until 1995. She met and married Jerry Mac Fletcher in 1989 and together they built a life full of laughter adventure in love. They shared a growing family, and home full of warmth, and a strong loving bond. She always made every occasion special turning simple moments into cherished memories.
Brenda loved life and filled it with things that brought her joy. She and Jerry enjoyed travel and did so often. She was funny, quick-witted, and endlessly generous.
Brenda is survived by daughter Regina King, brother Kenneth Harris, sister Sarah Phillips, grandson Chase Simmons, granddaughter Tayler Simmons, three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry, and her brother Bill (Leon) Bowen.
Brenda will be truly missed by many relatives and friends, cherishing all the good memories shared with her. She will always be remembered for the loving spirit and kindness she showed to everyone around her.
