Bryan and me started karate right about the same time in 1982 at the school at Collins & Pioneer. And when the school moved to West Arlington in 1985 Mrs. Phillips was so nice to let me hitch rides for a while. We sort of grew up together. I was cool but Bryan was cooler.

Yet another Boy Scout and WR Staff member who wishes to pay my respects and salute Bryan for lifting the spirits and smiles of those around him. What a positive influence. He will be missed.

From all of us at Cici's Pizza, we would like to send our thoughts and prayers to the family.  Bryan was a hard working, responsible employee for many years.  We loved having him around and he will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. I had the pleasure of knowing Bryan through the YMCA of Arlington. He spent many years in our Special Friends Program. He wanted to marry everybody. He was a delight to all. He will be missed by all at the "Y"! Prayers to all the family.

Bryan was a friend that touched many lives.He asked every female to marry him.Heaven will be happier because of him I am sure. May your family find peace and comfort.

Bryan was such a good man who had a big heart. I will always remember him when he helped out at St. Matthew Church . I had wondered what had happen to him after his mother and dad had passed away. I also remember him when we had rode handi-tran together. When they had taken him they (handi-tran) had taken him home before me he had always wanted to come into his house to stay with him but I could not because I either had to get to work or go home .May God bless Bryan. He will now be happy that he is with his mom and dad.

I so enjoyed having Bryan in my Advocates Bell Choir at Epworth church.  He rang with such joy and determination.  I was saddened to hear of his passing and send thoughts and prayers to all his family.

I am sad to hear about Bryan, he was always full of spirit and joy (and mischief when he had a good idea). I stopped counting how many times he asked my daughter to marry him, he was certainly a lover of the ladies! He was a fun person, he'll be missed by all.

I was training for my black belt in 1996 and Bryan was there every day sitting in the same spot everyday.  Bryan wanted to marry me, but sure many others as well.  When Bryan fought he would put on this face as you were hurting him as he kicked you in the head.  Mr. Bryan Phillips was a true Kurban black belt, and that is not an easy thing to do.  He accomplish more with down syndrome than many people with no disabilities at all. I have thought and ask about Mr. Phillips for almost 20 years. He made me smile during my intense training and was always there everyday to say he loved me.  Of all the people I have experienced in martial arts he was one of the most special.  I loved Bryan Phillips!!! Rest in peace my friend.

I was deeply saddened by the the news of Brian passing, our heart felt condolences to the Phillips family.  Brian was such a great person, I remember the great times he had at bowling, Advocates parties and special olympics and softball you will be missed.  From Jacklyn Ali and my mom Waleska Rodrguez

Brian will be missed by all.  I remember some of the wonderful times we had at Brian birthday parties, Christmas parties, etc.  when my son, Ricky and Brian would get to hamming it up.  He was a great young man.  Boy Scout was great also, if Ricky didn't do it, must of been Brian and we would all laugh and just love them more.  Now he will be with his parents in heaven and I know he will enjoy that.  We are left only with the sadness of his lost, but with wonderful memories.  We send our Sympathy and Prays.

Prayers of peace and comfort for the Phillips Family from ours. Bryan was an amazing man with the drive and spirit matched by very few. I am a better person to have known him.
