Carolyn Baker Eisen went to be with Jesus early Thursday morning on July 30th, 2026 in Arlington, TX. She was born on August 16,1937 in Waco, TX to Ed and Opal Baker. Carolyn graduated from Waco High School and attended Baylor University before starting her real estate career in the Arlington, TX area.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, card games, a cold glass of iced tea, and a sweet treat shared with a loved one. Some of her favorite memories were made shopping and having lunch with her family and friends. To everyone she knew, she is fondly remembered as an absolute sweetheart and will always remain a genuine treasure that we hold close to our hearts.
She is survived by her husband, Werner Eisen. She is also survived by her children, Steven Tanner and Dianne (Mike) Roark, and her stepdaughter, Erika Carpenter. Her joy lives on through her biological grandchildren, Kaitlin (Todd) Gonzales, and Kevin (Delara) Roark; her step grandchildren Maranda (Patrick) Gates, Andrea (Camilo) Gomez, and Jared Carpenter; her great grandchildren, Daniel Gonzales and John Gonzales; and her former husband and father of her biological children, George Tanner. She is also survived by extended family members and many wonderful friends. All will miss her dearly.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother, Opal Baker, and her stepson, Paul Eisen.
Her viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, August 3rd at 9:30am at Moore Funeral Home located at 1219 N. Davis Dr. in Arlington, TX. Her graveside service will follow at 11:00am.
An angel on earth, Carolyn truly embodied Lamentations 3:23, “Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.” Her faith was evident in how she lived her life and how well she loved and cared for others. She never held a grudge and was always happy to see you. She fiercely loved Jesus, her family, and her friends (especially the Waco YaYa’s). While we will all miss her immensely, we find joy and hope in knowing that she is with our Lord in heaven.
