Cecil Paul Lind

Cecil Paul Lind, 85, of Arlington, passed away February 13, 2016. He was born in Yates Center, Kansas on February 8, 1931 to Charles Otto Lind and Mary Isabelle Smith. He graduated from Iola High School where he lettered in sports, and received a Bachelor of Science from Pittsburg State University. Cecil married Winifred “Anne” Carter on July 2, 1951. Cecil had a career in chemistry and was employed with Atomic Energy Commission, Phillips 66, Rexene Polymers and Elf Atochem. He loved to play card games, learning, traveling, and spend time with his family.

Mr. Lind was preceded in death by his parents and by one daughter, Paula Anne Lind Jones.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Anne; one sister, Mary Lind Middleton; three children, Jackie Arnett and her husband Damon, Tom Lind and his wife Tammy, and David Lind; nine grandchildren, Chris Morris, Sarah Jones, Goldie Jones, Rachel Morris Raines, Michael Lind, Katie Lind, Carson Lind, Samantha Lind, and Carter Clemmons; and six great-grandchildren, Hayley Raines, Teagen Raines, Jessica Morris, Xavier Raines, Ean Lind, and Emelia Lind.

Services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, February 19, 2016 at St Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington. Visitation will be Thursday 6:30 to 8:30 at Moore Funeral Home with a Rosary beginning at 8:00 pm.
