Charles ("Charlie") Otto Anderle of Arlington, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, leaving behind family and friends who loved him deeply and have countless memories that will be treasured forever.
Charlie was born in Windthorst, Texas, to the late Eugene Anderle and Ethel Wachsmann. He graduated from Windthorst High School.
Charlie proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1957 aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt.
After his tour of duty, he returned home and married Edna Poirot of Scotland, Texas, on August 20, 1959. Together they had four children, all raised in a loving Christian home.
Charlie worked for Champion Paper in Grand Prairie, where he retired after forty years. He was known as a leader and was well respected by his peers. During his career, Charlie went back to college and graduated in 1984 alongside his daughter, Laurie. It was a proud moment for the entire family.
Charlie was a 4th Degree Honorary Life Member of Knights of Columbus Council 6269 in Arlington.
He enjoyed playing horseshoes, washers, cornhole, 42 dominoes, hunting and fishing, traveling, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He especially cherished spending time with family and friends at Lake Bridgeport.
He is survived by his beloved children: David Anderle and wife Pam; Cindy Henz and husband Tim; Laurie Fryar and husband Barry; and Gary Anderle and wife Lorrie.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Sarah Fryar and husband Vido Trevino; Brittany Anderle; Troy Anderle; Derek Fryar; Chad Anderle; Taylor Anderle; Richard Henz; and Cole Anderle; and his great-grandchildren, Rayland and Inara Trevino.
Charlie is also survived by his siblings: Alberta Badgette, Pat Zotz, Gene Anderle, and Lester Anderle; and his sisters-in-law: Caroline Anderle, Shirley Anderle, and Annette Anderle.
Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna; his grandson, Joshua Henz; his siblings, Orville Anderle, Leroy Anderle, and Johnny Anderle; his brothers-in-law, Vernon Badgette and James Zotz; and his sister-in-law, Mable Anderle.
Charlie was a fun character and was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be remembered for his strength, determination, spirit, and his infectious personality.
