

Born in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, on December 21, 1951 to Elmer and Lena Higgins, Charles went on to accomplish many great things. He obtained his High School diploma from Hixson, Tennessee. Charles loved the mountains. He always said “You can take the boy out of the mountains but you can’t take the mountain the out of the boy”.
Everyone knows that Charles never met a stranger and never judged a book by its cover. He was just a people person who loved the outdoors. When Charles was not busy with his landscaping company, he enjoyed spending time in nature. He loved to deer hunt & fish. He was a part of the car club “Poor Boy Car Classic”, restoring his 1967 Chevy truck. He loved working on old vehicles. Charles was also a member of the Arlington Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rites. But most importantly, he was a family man and spending time with his loved one was his top priority. He was a happy-go-lucky kind of man with a big heart. He was known in the neighborhood as Mr. Charles.
Charles is preceded in death by Elmer Higgins – Dad, Lena Higgins – Mother, Jimmy Higgins- Brother, Doris Coffin – Sister, Larry Higgins-Brother, Terry Higgins – Brother.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lorene Higgins, Daughter Jennifer Hale husband Mike Hale from Soddy Daisy, TN, Daughter Sonya Parker husband Ray Parker from Soddy Daisy, TN & 5 Grandchildren & 10 Great Grand Children and several Nieces & Nephews, as well as many other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service in the South Chapel of Moore Funeral Home the following day, Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. A committal service will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.
