residing in a nursing home.
Charles was born April 22, 1938, in Cleburne, TX and was raised in Bonham, TX.
Charles served in the United States Navy for 9 years, 2 months
working with air transportation and as an electrician. He received his Pilots license shortly after leaving the Navy.
Charles worked for LTV, Space Corporation, Simmonds Precision, Gull Airborne Instruments, all as a Technical and Sales Representative. He eventually started his own business, entitled Lamco Inc, doing the same technical and sales work.
After retiring he spent several years in Las Vegas, NV and came back to Texas in 2006.
His interests included boats, airplanes and a never-ending infatuation with the lovely Ann-Margret. In his last few years he suffered from alzheimer's disease which led to a more tranquil lifestyle for him. In this lifestyle, he became known as the sweet, little old man that sang childhood songs with a perpetual smile. He seemed to be unaware of all the bad in the world as he turned back to an innocent mind. He was known as one of the favorites at the nursing home during his short stay of only 10 months.
At his request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, his daughters would appreciate donations being made in his name to:
• The Alzheimer's Association
Additionally, if you or someone you know is affected by alcoholism, please contact Alcoholics Anonymous for help.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Kathy Emberton-McKinney
and her husband, Steve and their daughter Kelsie; as well as daughter, Dara Couch and her two sons Travis and Brandon Couch.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Lamb; mother, Loretta Jo McKelva; brother, John Lamb and grandson, Cody Emberton.
