I met Charles when we were all in the winter of life. Charles was a good man who loved God and loved his family. I enjoyed being included at the family's dinner table where Charles was a good host. I use to kid him about watching the Rangers, since I'm originally from Chicago and rooted for the Cubs. He sure was an avid sports fan! My best memory is that I had told Roxie how much I liked a wooden stool she kept in her garden. Next I knew, Charles had made one for me. I use it to reach things, to set plants on, and to let my great nieces who are toddlers have a place to sit. Charles was so thoughtful to do this. I wish more men had the heart Charles shared.
