

Charles Eldon Savage, 83, passed away on April 17, 2014 in Arlington, Texas after a lengthy illness. He was born on February 16, 1931 in Gracemont, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and returned to attend and graduate from Southwestern University, Texas Wesleyan and a masters from North Texas University. He pastored Bethel Assembly of God for 32 years, served as Secretary/Treasurer for the North Texas District for eight years, served as Presbyter, General Presbyter and Executive Presbyter. He taught in the International Bible College in Brussels, Belgium, and Korean Bible College in Berlin, Germany.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Agnes Savage; sister Oleta Roach; and son Kevin Savage. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Savage of Arlington, Texas; daughter and son in law, Marsha and David Langston of Lindale, Texas; son and daughter in law, Ron and Shelly Savage of Marble Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Lauren Langston, Ashley Langston, Brooke Savage, and Brittney Martin and husband Chris Martin; great granddaughter, Payge Martin; brother F.M. Savage of Gracemont, Oklahoma, Jimmy and wife Holly Savage of Anadarko, Oklahoma; sister, Sheila and husband Glenn Parker of Hinton, Oklahoma; brother in law, Lavoy Roach; brother and sister in law, Cliff and Iris Watson; and brother in law and sister in law, Darwyn and Becky Cornwell; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel, 1219 N. Davis Drive. Rev. Mike Benson will officiate, assisted by Bro. Houston McDaniel. Interment will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.
