

Christine was raised in Monrovia, Liberia, where she attended and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1984. She later married Abraham Okyne in 2008, and together they shared a loving family with five children.
Christine dedicated more than 17 years of service as a C.N.A. at Emerald Hills Rehab Center. Prior to that, she worked for many years as a cosmetologist, touching many lives through her care, kindness, and professionalism.
In her spare time, Christine enjoyed watching Korean dramas, spending time with family, shopping, cooking, dancing, spreading the gospel, and making new friends. She will always be remembered as an outgoing, fun-loving person who consistently put others before herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel C. McBorrough and Kula J. Tolbert.
Christine leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Abraham Okyne; her children, Iesha Akyempong, Malachi McBorrough, Dennis Snyder, Victoria Okyne, and Patrice Okyne; and her beloved siblings and family members, Mietta Smallwood, Maxina Smallwood, June Smallwood, Alice Kamara, Joyce McBorrough, Stephen Tolbert, Ella McBorrough, and Bendu Dawolo, along with a host of extended family and friends.
Christine’s warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
