

Claudia Whitefield Greenlee passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 30, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on June 15, 1933, in Pampa, Texas, and at the tender age of five years old, moved to Monahans, Texas where she would later meet her future husband, William Howard Greenlee at the age of fifteen. She attended the University of Texas El Paso and graduated with an Education and Music degree in 1954. Shortly thereafter, Howard and Claudia were married and began their beautiful journey together.
After her two children left for college, Claudia channeled her passion and entrepreneurial spirit into opening and running three successful travel agencies in Arlington and Irving, Texas. Her dedication to her work extended to managing a group incentive travel company, which allowed her to explore the world extensively. Throughout her life, Claudia and her beloved husband Howard, traveled to nearly every continent, cherishing their adventures together during their 69 years of marriage.
Claudia was not only admired for her business acumen but also for her impeccable sense of style. Known for her matching and stylish outfits, she was always a sharp dresser. Her love and pride for her family were evident to all who knew her.
A woman of deep faith, Claudia was a long-time member of Fielder Road Baptist Church in Arlington, and most recently Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in February 2024, and her son, John Howard Greenlee, in September 1996. Claudia was also preceded in death by her parents, Claude Whitefield and Addie Mae Claxton Whitefield.
Claudia is survived by her daughter, Alicia Ann Wilder, and her son-in-law, Scott Wilder, of Dallas. She also leaves behind her cherished granddaughter, Alexandra Wilder, also of Dallas.
