Cleo Loretta Davis, 91 was surrounded by her daughters when she peacefully slipped into the arms of Jesus early afternoon Saturday October 22, 2022. Cleo was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years and the love of her life since childhood, Norvell Davis. Also her parents Lee & Ethel Langley and her only sister Vera Satterfield. Along with these are sons-in-law Ron Ricker and Bobby Walters as well as granddaughter-in-law Melissa Walters. She is survived by 3 daughters, Beverly Ricker of Arlington, Claudia Walters of Durant Oklahoma and Kay Jones & husband Fred of Arlington. Through these daughters Cleo was blessed with and survived by scores of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with a couple more great-greats on the way. Cleo also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends & relatives who will miss her dearly. Having been born on November 6, 1930, Cleo saw many changes throughout her lifetime and was always ready to, if not embrace change, at least grow with it, learning new things to keep up with the times & technology. She retired from Bell Helicopter as an inspector, but her great love was her family second only to her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. Cleo had a servant's heart as she was ready to help wherever & wherever she could. She was active at her home congregation of California Ln Church of Christ (previously Cooper St) for almost 70 years and the leadership knew she would happily be willing to help out if called on to do so. Cleo enjoyed spending time with the family in just about anything they were involved in. She enjoyed "getting down" the church songbooks and singing with her family or anyone she could recruit, and when her voice would give out, she loved to listen.
We believe she is in Heaven now singing with the angels with a good strong voice that will never give out.
There will be a visitation Sunday evening October 30th from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home 1219 N Davis Dr, Arlington Texas 76012 and her funeral at 10:00 am Monday October 31st at California Ln Church of Christ, 1906 California Ln Arlington Texas 76015.
In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to either The Berean Childrens Home, The Alzheimer's Association, or California Ln Church of Christ.
