Daniel Hale Elliott

Daniel was born on December 12, 1958, in Iraan, Texas, to Jimmy and Peggy Elliott, where he was also raised. Iraan was always home in his heart, and the values he learned there shaped the hardworking, generous man he became.

In 1983, Daniel married the love of his life, Kenna Quigley, and together they built a family with four children. He spent many years working as an oil pumper in Iraan before pursuing a new career path and finding his calling as an irrigation and landscape specialist, a profession he dedicated himself to for the last 25 years.

Daniel found joy in the simple things in life. He enjoyed relaxing with a good cigar and a glass of whiskey, attending his friend Tim's band performances with In Lamun's Terms, and cooking and grilling for family and friends. He loved discovering little "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants and was happiest when he could bring others along to share the experience.

His faith was important to him, and he found comfort in reading his Bible. He loved spending time with his family, playing games, cheering from the stands at his grandchildren's sporting events, and teaching them how to shoot BB guns. He also had a passion for traveling and loved spending time at the beach with his family.

Above all, Daniel was known as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had a servant's heart and was always looking for ways to help others. Those who knew him will remember his generosity, his willingness to lend a hand, his sense of humor, and the way he always wished he could do more for the people he loved.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Peggy Elliott; his sister, Sulynn Bledsoe; and his beloved daughter, Danielle Elliott.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kenna Elliott; his children, Rachael Elliott, Kimbra Gibbs, and Joshua Elliott; his cherished grandchildren, Ellie Gibbs, Jovan Hough, Zoe Gibbs, and Logan Gibbs; his brother, Travis Elliott; his sister, Laura Tinsley; nieces Cassie McConkey, Karissa Johnson, Mikah Roberts, Rebecca Petty; nephew, Lance Bledsoe, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were made better by knowing him.

Daniel's greatest legacy is the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, his kindness, laughter, faith, and generous spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.
