Danny Gale Pollard

Danny Gale Pollard was born in Henderson, Texas on October 7, 1945, to Mary and J.B. Pollard. He grew up in Overton where he attended school until 9th grade. In 10th grade he transferred to New London High School where starred as a quarterback. Danny also lettered in basketball and baseball.

He attended the University of Texas where he met Gay Parks his Junior year. They were married and had his only child Brad Pollard that year.

Danny went to work for Texas Power and Light before beginning his career as sales manager for Patent Scaffolding System. He retired in 2008 and he and his wife Janet traveled the world together.

Danny and Janet were married in 1977 at Lake Way in Austin. They had the storybook marriage. She was the love of his life, and he was hers. Danny was heartbroken when she passed in 2015. Their favorite hobby was traveling the world. Janet worked for American Airlines, which led to great travel benefits.

They also loved spending time with their grandchildren and were wonderful parents and grandparents. They will both be missed dearly.

Left to cherish Danny’s memory his son Brad Pollard and wife Carrie of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Hunter of West Hollywood, California, Chase of Plano, Texas, Madison of Frisco, Texas and Alex of Frisco, Texas; sister Barbara of Rusk, Texas; and several cousins.

A visitation for Danny will be held Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Monday, July 17, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A committal service will occur Monday, July 17, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
