Dewey Lee Von Wahlde

May 3, 1938 - June 4, 2019

Dewie was a beautiful woman who was adored by her family and friends. She will always be cherished by those who knew her and admired her kind ways.

Her early years of life revolved around her three sons, Randy, Michael, and Donny Paul Von Wahlde, they were her heart and soul. Her husband, J. D. Von Wahlde and their three sons, all preceded Dewie in the journey to Heaven. Her granddaughter, Brittany Von Wahlde, was the focus of Dewie's later years.

Dewie was the second of six daughters and one son, born to Guy Dewey Grant and Mamie (King) Grant. Her parents and sisters, Betty, Dolly, Shirley, and Frances preceded Dewie to Heaven and were all there to welcome her to her eternal resting place. What a joyful celebration this must have been to again share their laughter and love for each other! They were all a very close family and enjoyed spending time together as often as they could.

Dewie loved to travel and visited many countries, loved cruises, and often took family and friends with her. She would also sometimes bring back surprise souvenirs for others.

Dewie is survived by one brother, Tommy Grant and his wife, Becky, one sister, Minnie Maddox, and a granddaughter Brittany Von Wahlde. Dewie is also survived by her many adoring nieces and nephews. They all have their own special memories of their beautiful Aunt Dewie.

Dewie and her husband J. D. Von Wahlde were co-owners of J. D. Von Wahlde and Sons, Inc. in Ft. Worth for over 50 years. This very successful company provided commercial flooring for many well known businesses in Ft. Worth as well as in other states.

We will all cherish our own special memories of Dewie, and will love her and miss her until we see her again.
